Wrapping up: Spring & Summer 2025

We launched Rocketadmin back in 2021, deciding to create the tool we wanted to use — the one we couldn’t find.
In the four years since, Rocketadmin has been maturing, and we’ve been able to add both integral pieces of the puzzle that bring it up to the standard we’ve set for ourselves, as well as peppering in exciting new features that create an overall better and more useful experience for our users.
This quarter was no exception, and we wanted to spend a few minutes outlining the exciting developments that are already part of Rocketadmin.
A brand new Dark theme

A very straightforward update, but a useful one — Rocketadmin now has a Dark theme.
Managing databases can sometimes end up going into the late hours, so it’s important to not strain your eyes too much.
This theme is applied automatically based on your OS’s settings.
Branding

If you’re using Rocketadmin as part of a wider operation that also includes users, it’s essential to maintain your company’s branding.
We’ve made sure to cover all the main use cases:
- Custom logo
- Custom colors
- Custom tab title & icon
- Custom domain
These might seem like small changes individually, but they go a long way toward making your users feel at home.
Foreign key & Related records navigation
This is one of the features we’re most excited about, and it’s a particularly powerful one.
With Foreign key functionality, you can move between connected records, allowing you to quickly understand how different fields interact across multiple tables. And you can take this even further with Related records navigation.
New UI Widgets
On Rocketadmin, UI Widgets refers to all the different, modular ways you can visually extend how you represent information.
Here’s exactly what we added this quarter:
Number
Parses strings and represents them as numbers, which includes visualizing them as units of measurement.
Phone
The Phone UI Widget recognizes all known area codes and formats strings into phone numbers.
Currency
Another numbers-based UI Widget, Currency adds currency symbols and allows you to set the correct decimal point for the currency you want to represent.
Countries
This parses country codes, showing full country names — it can even add emojis!
UUID
The UUID UI Widget generates a unique identifier that can be used for your IDs. For example, if your database doesn’t support UUIDs natively, you can use this UI Widget to force UUID functionality.
Images & URL
If you have to look at “website.com/the-thing-you-actually-care-about” all day, you’re usually wasting time and space with the URL prefix, when all the information you actually need is contained entirely within the slug.
As part of the Image and† URL UI Widgets, you can omit URL prefixes entirely, freeing up space and time and showing your users only the information they actually care about.
Fast filters

Filters are super useful, but they can be even better.
That’s why we created Fast Filters — a way to let your users take advantage of the filters you set for them.
You can create as many presets as you want, including choosing a Main column, where you can see an active field through which to make changes in real time.
For example, you can create a Fast filter and select “email” as a Main column. From there, you can use an active field to quickly search for specific parts of an email address.
In this way, you can both order things as needed, as well as interact with them after they’re set.
What’s next?
We have a lot more in store for you this year.
Rocketadmin is, in many ways, still growing. While we’re working hard to bring you everything we want you to have, there’s still so much more we want to do.
In this phase of our journey, there’s many new and exciting developments in store for you.
Stay tuned.
And see you soon!
